Dr Jes is in the medical profession and currently work as a medical officer at Singapore General Hospital. She has no formal training in poetry, but it has become a passion for her to write and collect poems. She believes in its power to stir and move the sentiments, so she's trying to use this tool with some of her patients and inspire them to move on with their lives despite their illnesses.

One of her poems written about SARS during that crisis was published and circulated in the Singhealth bulletin.

She is married and blessed with two lovely children.
